Key Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity available to join our enthusiastic and friendly team based near Knutsford in Cheshire. The preferred applicant will be enthusiastic and able to work within a team to ensure all groundwork and stable tasks are completed to a high standard.
With the work spread across various properties the applicant will be required to ensure all sites are well looked after. An understanding of ecology and woodland management would be a distinct advantage. The work is varied with no two days ever the same so a ‘can do’ approach is required, much like all the employees and team members at North West Resources. A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required for all employees due to much of the work being based in and around the family home.
Applicants must be comfortable with small children.
Role Responsibilities; Feeding, Turning horses out, Mucking Stables, Keeping The Yard Clean, grooming & exercising. Landscape maintenance and gardening Household tasks such as moving furniture, basic maintenance and car cleaning Event venue set up, cleaning and derig Assisting at large household events (e.g. annual BBQ, Christmas drinks) Driving family members (with extreme care and attention) to appointments (including school run)To have significant knowledge, experience and interest in ground care and horticulture Responsible key holder and emergency contact
Essential Requirements
Skills To be capable of safely carrying out all ground care / garden work and operate machinery
To be physically strong and able to work on a variety of terrain including slopes
To be able to follow instructions and carry out tasks unsupervised
A methodical approach with good attention to detail
To be willing to undertake any training necessary such as first aid, chainsaw operation, use of utility vehicles, teleporters, access platforms etc
To be able to show initiative and communicate ideas / problems to the managers
Previous experience of working with horses is desirable
You must have excellent communication skills, be reliable, and have a strong work ethic.
The successful applicant must have;

Full Driving License
