Key Responsibilities

Ensure all logistics activity is compliant with legislative and health & safety requirements Lead the design, definition and implementation of the strategy and roadmap for logistics within the context of the broader Group strategy and strategic logistics initiatives (i.e. optimising capacity planning, improving reverse flow logistics, reducing transport costs) Lead the planning of all key logistics functions within an overall integrated planning (Sales and Operations Planning) process across all business operations Influence and promote operational excellence and consistency across the structure to drive performance against key metrics (e.g. stock availability, quality of service) Manage cost to provide a competitive solution for customers whilst providing required service levels Lead, advocate, and role model best practices with regards to logistics tools, processes, methodologies and ways of working Manage and develop warehouse operations, using proven robust technologies to increase efficiency, drive performance and minimise costs Select and manage high-quality third-party logistics partners that operate across multiple regions to maintain robust transport networks and stock availability across all stores and ensure deliveries are OTIF Ensure that the logistics function continuously implements opportunities to improve, simplify and standardise ways of working to maximise efficiency and effectiveness Define and implement initiatives to minimise the environmental impact of deliveries within the logistics network (e.g. efficient transport networks, reverse logistics) to drive sustainability Lead and develop a multi-functional logistics team, ensuring consistent and sustainable high performance in all areas

Essential Requirements

Degree/Masters level, preferably in supply chain, logistics, operations or business administration In-depth understanding of the factors involved in operating an efficient logistics network within a multi-channel environment managing customer deliveries, stock returns/recalls and efficient routes to market Proven ability to develop, manage and motivate high performing teams in a matrix management environment Detailed knowledge of the end to end logistics operations across multiple business units and a working knowledge of supply chain systems/ processes, such as Order Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Transport Management and ERP (especially SAP) Experience in overseeing the logistics elements of integrated business planning (sales and operations planning) processes within a wider integrated planning business culture
