Essential Requirements

Management and Maintenance of Utility Systems: Oversee the day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of high and low-pressure compressor systems, AHU systems, AC systems vacuum systems, pumps, and other related utility equipment to ensure their optimal performance. Water Systems Management: Take charge of the management and control of water systems used in various processes within the glass manufacturing facility. Ensure the efficiency and reliability of water supply and treatment systems. Gas, LPG, and Diesel Systems: Proficiently manage gas, LPG, and diesel systems, including storage, distribution, and usage within the manufacturing process. Implement safety protocols and measures in line with statutory compliance requirements. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Stay updated with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to utility systems and ensure strict adherence to statutory compliance requirements. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Analyse and diagnose complex mechanical issues related to utility systems and apply innovative solutions to rectify problems promptly and effectively. Project Management: Lead and participate in utility-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and expansions, from planning and design to execution and commissioning. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement an initiative-taking maintenance program to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of equipment. Conduct routine inspections, predictive maintenance, and implement necessary repairs or replacements. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and safety, to optimize processes and maintain seamless operations. Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on utility system performance and project status. Safety and Risk Management: Prioritize safety in all utility operations and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with utility systems. Contractor control: Support site contractor activity through issuing Permit to Works and review of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). Support and coaching: Provide technical support and guidance to general maintenance technicians in the critical thinking skills on utility related equipment. Compliance: Responsible for the completion and documentation of legal compliance in relation to compressed air e.g., pressured vessels and LOLER. Support site Reliability roadmap: Identification of failure modes and trends, leading and completing root cause analysis (RCA) far all utility related losses, driving and delivering RCA actions.
