Here at Magnetic North we’re looking for Business Development Executives to join our B2B Sales Team at our Head Office in Stockton-on-Tees.

Job Title: Business Development Executive

Salary: Up to £25,000 DOE + commission

Contract: Full time + permanent (Subject to Visa Reqs)

Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 9am – 3pm Friday

Overview of Role: The day-to-day function of this role will include responsibilities for identifying, contacting, and nurturing new business prospects. You’ll do this through calling businesses to discuss our energy related products and services. You’ll ultimately build relationships with business decision makers so that you can gain buy in, using your role to arrange telephone appointments for our Pricing Specialists to present new gas or electric quotations.

To do well in this role, you need to be able to build and cultivate strong working relationships with business people over the phone. This role would therefore suit a confident communicator with a collaborative, can do attitude.

Main Responsibilities: Creating awareness of Magnetic North’s B2B offering by telephoning businesses with the aim of identifying decision makers, building relationships, and gaining buy-in around our products and services. Working to KPIs typical of a sales environment, including 2 hours talk time per day and a minimum of 8 appointments generated per month for our pricing specialists to talk through gas and electric quotations.

Utilising the CRM to create new records based on your telephone conversations, ensuring all information gathered from telephone calls is accurately inputted for future reference and/or use by the sales team. Working with your line manager to implement individual development, coaching, and training feedback, ensuring deliverables agreed to improve performance are managed through to implementation. Contributing to the overall objectives of the business by keeping abreast of industry news and identifying and communicating opportunities for improvement with wider team members.
