Key Responsibilities

Job outline

To support the manufacturing process in order to meet production demands of the business.

You will be a flexible resource and have the ability to be deployed across a number of lines to carry out defined machine operation and monitoring of production process as required / determined by the Shift Operational Lead.

Delivery Work as part of crewing on production lines.

Defined machine operation, packing, palletising, lid loading, material replenishment of running materials (reel operation).

Ensure required materials are ordered inline with production requirements.

Carrying out process confirmation checks in line with quality, safety and product specifications.

Clean and Inspect all work area and machinery, within acceptable safe working standards and good manufacturing practices , ensuring lines are set to centreline standards.

Taking corrective action or reporting any maintenance issues as appropriate.

Read and interpret specifications to meet the production plans ensuring appropriate prioritisation.

Completion of line records to include material traceability, yield & usage.

Perform necessary adjustments and activities for a changeover.

Role model behaviour in line with the company values, challenging and / or escalating to the appropriate supervisor any behaviour that does not fall within these values.

Health and safety

Ensure full adherence to Company Health and Safety Procedures and Practices.

Identify and report any conduct that breaches Health & Safety or does not fall within our company values, including all incidents and near misses.

Conducts line safety checks in line with company procedures.

Compliance with PPE requirements.

Quality Confirmation of raw material identification in line with specification.

Compliance with the Company’s Quality and GMP Standards and ensure appropriate work wear is worn.

Responsible for ensuring the area and work space is sanitised maintained in a clean and tidy manner, adopting a clean as you go approach.

Cost

Challenging waste and escalating where appropriate.

Communication Ensure effective communication with all key stakeholders, including (but not exclusive to), Packers, Line Operators and Advanced Operators (TBC), escalating issues immediately to appropriate Supervisor Continuous improvement Work with the CI Team to support and deliver CI projects as determined by the business.

Essential Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to receive and understand instruction and work in accordance with operational procedures

• Positive “can do” attitude, a desire to maintain high quality standards, flexible approach

• Ability to work a continental shift pattern - 2 days (7am-7pm) followed by 2 nights (7pm-7am), 4 off.

• Team Player

• Experience working within a fast moving operational and physical role environment – preferably within a similar role but not essential as full training is provided
