Key Responsibilities

Café on the pier is a family friendly, dog friendly café located in the beautiful surroundings of St Annes sea front, serving a variety of meals including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free, as well as classic british options such as fish and chips. We are looking to recruit 2 experienced fish fryers to join our friendly team within our fish and chip shop. Job Purpose As an experienced fish fryer, you are crucial to the smooth running and success of our fish and chip shop environment and are highly valued. Some key responsibilities include serving great fish and chips, frying, preparation while adhering to food health and safety regulations, and customer services. The right candidates must enjoy a fast and friendly environment and able to deliver great quality food under pressure. Key Responsibilities • Administer all food orders and ensure adequacy of all supplies and ingredients for everyday cooking. • Prepare all food orders in line with demand and to a high standard, according to required food production standards. • Manage all fish prior to cooking and ensure compliance to all quality standards. • Ensure storage of all food items appropriately. • Perform all food preparation efficiently and maintain minimum wastage at all times. • Maintain neat and clean workstation area. • Following company policies and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Essential Skills and Experience • Ability to communicate with other staff. • Thorough attention to detail and excellent time management skills. • Team player skills, assisting other colleagues when necessary. • Drive and determination to achieve performance and standards. • Experience and enthusiasm to contribute and fully support the running of the fish and chip shop operation, combined with the ability to work well under pressure. • Highly ambitious with a desire to playing a key role in the continued growth and success of the business. • Be willing to learn, take instruction and work under own initiative. • Knowledge of kitchen safety and health regulations.
