Full Job Description Café on the pier is a family friendly, dog friendly café located in the beautiful surroundings of St Annes sea front, serving a variety of meals including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free, as well as classic British options. We are looking to recruit 1 team leader to join our friendly team. Job Purpose As a team leader, you are crucial to the smooth running and success of our café environment and are highly valued. We offer great rates of pay, but more importantly the opportunity to gain experience and training to help propel your career. The right candidate must enjoy a fast and friendly environment with the ability to inspire, motivate and drive a team of people to succeed, with the ability to also serve great quality food under pressure, whilst being friendly, polite, and efficient. Key Responsibilities • The ability to organise a team. • Deliver an exceptional level of customer service with the ability to build rapport with customers, whilst also ensuring staff do the same. • Ensuring that all tasks by staff are completed as expected. • Ensuring all weekly, daily and monthly paperwork is completed on time and as expected. • Ensuring the cafés cleanliness standards are adhered to. • Ensuring adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables, maintaining stock rotation, restocking as needed. • Serving customers efficiently within the food counter and ice cream counter, serving of hot and cold beverages, cakes and other food items • Cash handling and using the till. • Being knowledgeable about the products and services in the café, giving advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to customers to ensure a positive experience. • Following company policies and adhering to health and safety guidelines. • Managing queues and meeting customer expectations. • Actively promote and sell products and services. Upsell to maximise profit.
Essential Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience • Proven leadership experience. • Ability to communicate with other staff. • Thorough attention to detail, excellent time management and multi-tasking skills. • Team player skills, assisting other colleagues when necessary. • Drive and determination to achieve performance and standards. • Experience and enthusiasm to contribute and fully support the running of the cafe, combined with the ability to work well under pressure. • Highly ambitious with a desire to playing a key role in the continued growth and success of the business. • Deliver an exceptional level of customer service with the ability to build rapport with customers, building solid relationships resulting in repeat business. • Be willing to learn, take instruction and work under own initiative.
