Key Responsibilities
Cumbria CVS is a dynamic, forward thinking, membership organisation that provides a range of support for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector throughout the county.
Purpose of the role Working closely with the Finance and Resources Manager and HR Manager to provide the management of all Cumbria CVS buildings and lead in the promotion of Health and Safety for the organisation.
Principal Duties Support the Finance and Resources Manager with the delivery of Facilities Management Strategy and Planning.
Develop, implement and review Health and Safety Policies policies, procedures and processes to ensure these are aligned to current legislation and best practice.
Act as systems administrator for our CVS Facilities and Health and Safety systems, responsible for all records being up to date.
Work collaboratively with the administrative team to liaise with contractors.
Manage and maintain contracts with tenants to maximise service income and occupancy.
Monitor building/facilities/equipment; implement works against agreed schedule/budget.
Manage tenant queries, allocate and progress actions.
Manage and assess supplier and tenant contracts for value for money.
Identify and develop opportunities to support CCVS financial sustainability.
Monitor and manage risk assessments for the organisation.
Develop and deliver Health and Safety and Wellbeing initiatives.

Essential Requirements
Fluent in English Health and Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH) - or able to demonstrate an equivalent level qualified by experience and commitment to achieve qualification
Facilities Management qualification - or able to demonstrate an equivalent level qualified by experience and commitment to achieve qualification (Desirable)
Specialist Knowledge and Experience Knowledge of Health and Safety management systems, policies, legislation and practice
Commitment to continuous organisational quality improvement and assurance
Experience of managing a building portfolio and working successfully with tenants
Experience of successful working with contractors on building projects
Knowledge of current building legislation and CDM regulations
